Q: Does Graphic Traffic provide dialup service?
A: Graphic Traffic does not provide dialup services. However, We can arrange for dialup
service provided by GlobalCenter
and billed on your Graphic Traffic Invoice.
One of the major advantages of not sharing our connection
with modem users is the fact that nearly all the bandwidth we offer is reserved for
serving your web documents. If you are looking for a local Internet Service Provider other
than GlobalCenter, we suggest searching for one on The
List.
Q: Is it possible to install a unique FTP server?
A: We offer a single private FTP account to transmit your web documents to and from your directory. This means that you will have a single login name and password. Graphic Traffic does not provide anonymous FTP accounts and does not allow ftp sites.
Q: What file names should I use for my default pages?
A: We support default.htm, index.html and index.htm as defaults. We suggest that if you want your directories to have clean URLs you name default page in each subdirectory of your web site. For example: http://www.yourdomain.com/travel would display one of the default files in the "travel" subdirectory of the main directory.
Q: When you say 'unlimited,' do you really mean unlimited?
A: Your concern is understandable. We are playing the odds that most people's sites are going to average out at X MB in file size. We also think that most people's sites will use up X% of our bandwidth. There certainly will be exceptions to this theory, but we think it's a practical solution to get a lot of people on the web, for a small investment.
Q: Will I be able to access my domain name with or without the WWW?
A: Yes, you will be able to access the domain name with or without the WWW in front. For example, you could access the domain name "mydomain.com" by going to "www.mydomain.com" as well as "mydomain.com".
Q: How long does it take to get my account at Graphic Traffic?
A: Accounts requested by 4:00pm MST M - F(except
Holidays) will be set up by the same evening. Accounts requested after 4:00pm MST will
be set up the next business day. Once the account is set up, we will send a confirmation
email to the Primary contact e-mail address.
Note: Graphic Traffic must receive full payment before
requested services will be set up.
Q: Will I have unlimited access to update my pages ?
A: You have unlimited access via FTP, using your private id and password, 24-hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.
Q: Do you offer technical support to customers ?
A: Yes. We believe that support is one of the keys to a good business relationship. That
